Summer 2020 is in full effect… and although it feels like we skipped a whole season as we sheltered in place, summer is here and it seems like a lot of it will be spent at home! That being said, there’s no better time than now to refresh your outdoor space with some fresh additions, big or small. Over the past few months, G and I have been spending lots of quality time in our yard and it’s really become our little sanctuary during this time! It’s hard to believe that just last year, there was nothing but dirt and tile in our yard. For those of you who missed our backyard makeover video, you can watch it here!
When G and I first started designing our yard, we knew we wanted to invest in timeless furniture that was good quality and durable enough to last throughout the years. Another thing we knew that would instantly transform the space was greenery. We really wanted to create a little tropical oasis and plant tons of birds of paradise all around the yard. To create a nice contrast against the greenery, I mixed in some natural wood and rattan tones that would add some nice texture and warmth into the space. Above all, we installed stringlights to really make a statement and be able to spend summer nights outside. This was the best decision we made because they really brought our entire backyard together and made it feel super cozy!

So whether you’re looking to do a few seasonal upgrades or give your outdoor space a whole makeover, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite outdoor furniture finds – from couches to chairs to planters – that you can have delivered to your door right in time for summer!
