Happy Sunday my loves!! Hope you guys are having an amazing weekend!! Today I’m taking it back to our Miami trip a couple weeks ago! We took a short trip to Miami for G’s grandfather’s 90th birthday party and then took a few days for ourselves to unwind at the beautiful The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour! This was actually our first time staying in the Bar Harbour area, so we really enjoyed exploring this part of town and visiting some new local spots! But the The Ritz-Carlton made it really hard for us to leave the resort….lol! Every detail of the hotel was so absolutely breathtaking from the interior design, to the pool, the beach, and the breathtaking views from our suite. What I love most about the location of the hotel is that you have multiple views of the canal, Sunny Isles, and the ocean so depending on what suite you’re in, you can have a view of all 3! The hotel is located right in Bar Harbour village so it was super convenient to walk to all the cafe’s, restaurants and shops. And thank you so much for those of you chipped in on suggestions for restaurants and local spots that G and I need to visit! We’re always looking for recommendations! I thought I’d include a travel guide to some of the best places to visit for food, nightlight, and cuban coffee below, hope you enjoy!
Moreno’s Cuban Coffee
If you guys have been following me for a while, you know I’m all about my routine visits to Moreno’s Cuban Coffee when I’m there! G and I are obsessed with our Cuban coffee lol! This spot has been our go-to for YEARS and we can never get enough!
Address: 1850 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Makoto Restaurant Bal Harbour Mall
G and I had lunch here during our last Miami visit a couple weeks ago and oh my..this Japanese spot was seriously incredible. It’s nestled in Bal Harbour shops so it’s perfect to go to if you’re shopping at the mall and want to stop for a bite! We ordered the Truffle Ponzu Salmon, Wagyu Carpaccio and Hamachi Ponzu!
Address: 9700 Collins Ave Bal Harbour, FL 33154
El Tucán
One of you guys recommended to go to El Tucán while we were in Miami and now it’s definitely one of my go-to hot spots for a good time. This spot is the perfect combination between modern and tropical vibes that brings you a fun, high-energy atmosphere and defines Miami nightlife. You can come here for their amazing asian-inspired dishes, unique cocktails, or just simply to dance for a fun night out! If you’re celebrating an occasion, then this is definitely a great all-in-one spot to go to. It almost feels like a high-end jungle atmosphere with all the decor!
Address: 1111 SW 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33130
Sugar Rooftop Bar, East Miami
You guys know I love me a good rooftop bar with a view! Forty floors up, Sugar is jungle-themed (obviously my fave ha!) with tons of greenery, Asian-style tapas, and unique cocktails! Plus, it’s right in the heart of Miami’s downtown Brickell City Centre so you can walk around and explore the area.
Address: 9700 Collins Ave Bal Harbour, FL 33154
Coyo Taco
A good taco spot is a MUST when you’re visiting Miami! Coyo Taco offers amazing authentic Mexican cuisine and exotic tacos for those of you who want more than just the basic chicken or carne asada taco! Their menu includes chargrilled octopus, marinated mushrooms, and even crispy duck tacos! And did I mention their guacamole is fresh made-to-order?! You can always rely on Coyo Taco to provide you with an authentic Mexican street food experience with a twist and fresh ingredients!
Address: 2300 NW 2nd Ave Miami, FL
Night Owl Cookie Co.
Night Owl is actually the biggest cookie shop in Miami and even has a late night delivery service..dangerous if you live in Miami lol! These cookies come to you hot, fresh, straight out the oven with flavors like cinnamon toast crunch, s’mores, cookies and cream, birthday cake, and cookie dough stuffed with Nutella. And what’s even more dangerous is that they ship all over the US! I’ll leave the link for here, thank me later ;)
