And the madness begins…. Today was officially the first day of NYFW and I took a redeye last night so I could get here in time for Marissa Webb! She is consistently one of my favorite designers who seems to perfectly balance feminine and masculine elements into her lines for a look that’s cool, chic, and effortless every time. This season she featured soft neutrals with pops of burnt orange and chartreuse in delicate silks with subtle ruffle accents. My favorite piece was a nude, silk trench that was styled a la carte. Shoes were provided by one of the most innovative shoe designers (and one of my favorites), Monika Chiang, who is known for her chain and rope wrap heels.
Love the blend of military inspired jackets over pretty florals!Silk and leather pairings feel so right.
My two favorite looks from the show (above and below)
Monika Chiang and I post show…how BAD is she?! Such a babe.. Hope you loves enjoyed DAY 1!!! For video from the runway, be sure to watch my Snaps and IG Stories! Tomorrow morning I’ll be back stage and front row at ZIMMERMANN, Milly, and Tadashi Shoji! So be sure to come along!
