Hi my loves!! We’re just T-2 days away from Halloween and I think it’s safe to say this year Halloween has become my favorite time of year to entertain. This was the first year I took halloween decor so seriously around my home…followed by planning a huge party for my closest friends and family! As stressful as planning a party can be, it was so fun to decorate the house, create a spooky tablescape, a signature cocktail of the night, and most importantly, see everyones amazing costumes! And if you’re a little late to halloween decorating, I’ve got a ton of chic indoor and outdoor halloween decor inspo and tips in my latest Youtube video!

Halloween has easily become one of my favorite holidays to celebrate because of all the sweets! I may have retired from trick-or-treating, but desserts will always be my guilty pleasure! For the party, I wanted to create a spooky tablescape filled with delicious halloween-themed desserts, candles, mini white pumpkins and dried florals. Sweet E’s Bakeshop made it easy to get everyone into the halloween spirit and whipped up these amazing Halloween-themed desserts! We had a combination of spooky cake pops, icing cookies, and mini cupcakes that were all so delicious, and drew all our guests to the table spread. These were the perfect non-messy desserts to serve for an evening party!

I had so much fun creating this dark spooky tablescape with the help of my favorite party goods brand, Harlow & Grey! For those of you who have been following me for a while, you may remember them from my baby shower and Alessandra’s first birthday! What I love most is that I always find the perfect collection and color scheme for every event and I love to switch up the color scheme! They recently launched this black and gold foil Zodiac Collection with Cynthia Rowley and it couldn’t have been more perfect for Halloween! I love the zodiac animal print in combination with the little stars and marble. A gold and black color scheme is always a timeless option and compliments all the other decor perfectly.

For the rest of the tablescape, I went with a classic and elegant black, gold, and beige motif since I’m not the biggest fan of orange ha! I mixed in my favorite brass and white/gold candle holders from World Market and Crate and Barrel and switched out the candlesticks. I thought these matte black candlesticks were perfect for the occasion and to add in some unconventional pops of color, I mixed in these terra-cotta colored candlesticks that compliment the black and gold really nicely. I also love adding height and layers to a tablescape, so I mixed in 6 narrow cylinder vases with these dried poppy pods that look spooky and add some nice texture. For some finishing touches, I placed some skeleton hands along the runner and added some faux spiders and mini skulls around the desserts stands. I also filled my centerpiece vase with mini white pumpkins which is something that is super easy and affordable to do for any vases you have around your home! Even when planning tablescapes around occasions, I like to keep things sophisticated and elegant that don’t scream Halloween, but still feel moody and spooky and have subtle motifs of Halloween sprinkled in the mix.

Now for the fun part of party planning…creating our signature cocktail of the night! Introducing the Blackberry Witches Brew Cocktail featuring Nosotros Reposado Tequila. I wanted to create a dark spooky-like tequila cocktail for the night and this flavor combination was so delicious! We made 4 pitchers of these, topped off with some blackberries and blood orange slices and they were a HUGE success! Not to mention, the color scheme and design on these Nosotros tequila bottles set the perfect mood for Halloween-inspired cocktails! If you’d like to recreate this spooky mixed drink for your halloween festivities this weekend, I’ve included the recipe for you below. To make your drinks even spookier, you can add dry ice for that cool smoky effect.
