Hey my loves! Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining the fabulous Garnier team and celebrity stylist Tommy Buckett in Las Vegas for the iHeart Radio Music Festival! I was lucky enough to score a styling session with Tommy, who created a super sleek, red carpet worthy ponytail with a twist! He used Garnier’s Texture Tease to enhance my natural texture, then pulled the top of my hair back into a tight elastic which he then wrapped in leather strips! I’ve attempted to re-create this look but decided to use tassel rope instead of the leather strips as a slight variation.

The works!!! I’ve used Garnier hair products off and on for years since I was a little girl. I have hard to manage, frizzy hair, and have always loved how Garnier’s products help me stay sleek and smooth! I’ve been using the Brazilian Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner followed by the Sleek Primer and have been experiencing more great hair days than usual LOL

My leather wrapped ponytail by Tommy Buckett is definitely a nice twist on a classic! You can re-create this look by wrapping leather strips from a fabric store around the base, to the middle of the ponytail. He actually used hair glue to secure the leather, but if this intimidates you, try using something else like this tassel rope, or gold thread if you want to get really glam!

We had so much fun at the concert! Some of my favorite artists were performing.. from Demi Lovato and Trey Songz, to some of the newer artists like Tori Kelley and James Bay! Garnier had set up an amazing styling tent right by the stage where I got to glam with some of my fellow blogger babes @vivaluxuryblog @devonrachel and @lateafternoon!
