Happy Friday my loves!! Today I’m so excited to reveal my new bedroom gallery wall to you guys!! I’ve been posting little sneak peaks on my stories for the past few days and couldn’t wait to share the final product! We partnered up with Framebridge to create the gallery wall of our dreams and what’s quickly become the favorite part of our bedroom. I’ve always dreamt of creating a beautiful gallery wall one day when I move into my home. Also ever since our wedding, I’ve been dying to print and frame these photos!! These photos are more than a special memory. Everytime I look at them, they take me back to the best day of my life and make me feel so happy!
As you guys know G and I did a complete master bedroom makeover about 5 months ago! As much as we love our bedroom, we have been looking to add a few more personal touches to the space. Something beyond furniture and decor that really makes us feel at home and connected with the space. We really wanted to transform this space into our own little private oasis where we can feel relaxed, cozy, and most importantly, at home! What I love about having this gallery wall in a private space like our bedroom is that it makes it feel more personal and special since we’re the only ones looking at it. It’s really just about us and nothing makes me happier than to wake up and go to sleep with these memories so close to our hearts!
We designed our bedroom with clean, modern, and neutral elements so we really wanted a statement artwork or focal point to bring the room to life. Luckily, we had the blankest of canvases, a huge fresh white wall right above our beds. Now walking into our bedroom feels so different!! The gallery wall really brings some life into the room and channels a more romantic vibe.
Framebridge made the whole process so easy and convenient! We started by explaining the type of gallery wall we were interested in with the Framebridge team. Then we took measurements of the wall and shared photos of our master bedroom. Framebridge sent over a mock-up based off of what we discussed and recommended the floor to ceiling gallery wall with two inches between every frame. They also outlined a plan for all the details from the frame style, color, to the sizing. Once we determined the amount of photos we want to frame, they sent over a digital template so G and I could choose the order of photos and envision what the gallery wall would look like in person! This definitely took the longest because it was so hard to just choose 18 photos!! We are obsessed with every single one of our wedding photos so narrowing them down was not easy! Since 18 frames is still considered a lot for a gallery wall, we wanted to choose a mix of photos from the ceremony, reception, and family photos that would all tie in together. After finalizing our template and submitting with Framebridge, their design team scaled the images for upload and voila!
There are a few things to consider when doing a gallery wall. I’ll admit I was a bit intimidated at the whole process at first, but once going through it with such a massive gallery wall, it was so much easier than I expected. Here are a few tips for creating the perfect bedroom gallery wall.
1. Keep it consistent.
It’s important to keep your gallery wall consistent in everything from the color palette, border, and frames. For our wedding gallery wall, G and I choose to put the photos in order from our pre-wedding shoot, to the ceremony, and then to the reception. This way the whole gallery looks more cohesive and has a nice flow to it.
2. Find the right frames.
Finding the right frames for your gallery wall is key. I’m loving the floor to ceiling grid frames we choose for our gallery wall. I always have a difficult time picking between gold and silver hardware, so I love that these frames are a soft combination of both. It’s also important to keep no more than 2 inches between frames because if you space them out further, the grouping can look unintentional. They are a beautiful champagne silver and look clean, modern, and sophisticated for any room. With Framebridge, you can upload your digital photos into each frame and preview your full design so you get an idea of how the space will turn out!
3. Tell a story. Use art that you really love.
A gallery wall shouldn’t just be a random compilation of photos, it should tell a story! If you don’t know where to begin, you can always start by hanging a focal piece and then building out from there. Creating a gallery wall that embodies your personality and is meaningful to you will really make a statement for your space.
