For The Outdoors

Good afternoon my loves! I can’t believe Halloween is right around the corner! This is our second Halloween in our home and since last year we were still settling in, we couldn’t wait to go all-in for our Halloween decor this year! It’s been so fun decorating and seeing Ále’s reaction to all the spooky decor in our home..she’s obsessed with the skulls and calls them her “coco’s” ha! For those of you who were asking for halloween decor inspo, I hope this makes you feel inspired to make your home chic and spooky this Halloween season! I rounded up some of my favorite online finds and tips for Halloween decor that will make your home feel festive, yet modern and cozy!
For our front porch, I wanted to do something different and create a super chic and modern black, white, and tan color scheme. We picked up all types of different sized pumpkins from our local grocery, dried cornstalk from our local flower mart, and mixed in some halloween decor we purchased online! For the black pumpkins, we took on a little DIY project and bought matte black spray paint to paint them! I love how they turned out!
1. Crazy Bonez Pose-N-Stay Skeleton
$48.99
I’d say these “pose-n-stay” skeletons are really the staple pieces in our halloween decor! These are on the pricier side, but they’re 5 ft tall and just having one or two in your home will make a huge impression!

2. Faux Hay Bale
$5.69
These are great to use outdoors to create levels to your halloween decor. We used these as steps to pose our life size skeletons and they worked out perfectly! You can also use them to prop your pumpkins on to create some levels and fill the negative space.

3. Natural Dried Wheat Wreath
$44.99
For those of you who live in Los Angeles, we got our wreath from the flower mart in Downtown LA! It’s actually made out of dried hydrangeas and I love the golden tone! It compliments the cornstalk perfectly!

4. 6'' x 3'' Unscented Black Pillar Candle
These matte black pillar candles are perfect to make your halloween decor feel extra dark and spooky! I love how they look inside our gold lanterns (also from Target), and I’d also incorporate these into a spooky tablescape!
$5.99

5. Welcome Doormat
Switched out our regular mat for this welcome mat from Target! I love adding black elements to the space to keep it feeling modern, but still a little dark and spooky.
$12.34

6. 2'' x 3'' Chevron Woven Rug
We layered the welcome mat with this chevron rug, also from Target!
$19.99

7. Gold Metal Lantern
If you guys have been following along on our home tours/updates, you know we have tons of these brass lanterns from Target in our yard! We actually brought some of these to the front porch and put the black pillar candles in them.
$29.99

8. Stretchy Spider Web
Stretchy spider web is a must for any halloween decor! I used this for both my outdoor and indoor decor and it really adds the perfect finishing touch to any halloween set-up!
$7.95

9. Paper Mache Pumpkin
What can be more chic than a beige pumpkin?! When I saw these paper mache pumpkins at Target, I knew I had to get them! I really wanted a black, white, and tan pumpkin theme for my porch so these were absolutely perfect, plus I can reuse them for next year!
$5.99

10. Painted White Pumpkin
If orange just isn’t your color, then you’ll need these chic white pumpkins! This year we picked up some real white pumpkins from our local grocery store, but these are also great to purchase online so you can reuse them for years to come!
$7.00

For The Fireplace

Our fireplace is one of the first things you see when you walk into our home, so I really wanted to create a festive display that still feels cozy and warm! We got these pretty pale peach, white, and dark pumpkins and incorporated some of modern home accessories like candleholders, birch logs, and dried florals to make the space feel more sophisticated and modern.
1. Birch Branches Set of 3
Since G and I moved into our home, we’ve actually never really decorated our fireplace! I spotted these birch branches at Crate & Barrel and love how they look leaning against the wall infront of the fireplace.
$14.95

2. Decorative Skull
Decorative skulls are great to mix into your decor! These can be added anywhere around your home like on your console table, bookshelf, or grouped together on a table.
$5.00

3. Dried Poppy Pods
Love these dried poppy florals! These are great to make little arrangements that you can use in a tablescape or any where else around your home!
$14.00

4. White & Gold Bottle Taper Candleholders
Some of you may remember these candleholders from our recent backyard tablescape! These were such a great find and I love using them in different parts the house!
$17.97

5. Shag Sheepskin Area Rug
A cozy plush sheepskin rug adds warmth and luxury to any room. I have a couple of these in my home that I love to incorporate into different parts of may home that I feel need more texture and warmth. For fall and winter, I’ll definitely be keeping one by the fireplace!
$49.99

For Your Walls Or Staircase

These bat decals are probably my favorite part of our Halloween decor! I wanted something that would really make an impression for our long winding staircase and these bats really did the trick. These bats are also great to fill in any blank wall spaces and frame doorways!
1.3D Decorative Bat Decals
These bat decals are such a quick, fun, and easy way to elevate any blank wall in your home! You can put them up on a wall in your entry way, above your fireplace, frame your bedroom doorway, or on your staircase wall which is what we did!
$11.99
