#dineLA | Faith & Flower

dineLA faith and flower restaurant in downtown LA
It's that time again, one of my favorite weeks of the year, dineLA week! Many of the restaurants around town will put together a special prixe fixe menu of some of their most popular dishes, set at a discounted price, to take part in what's kind of like a giant food festival around town! Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of being treated to one of the most incredible meals at one of Downtown LA's trendiest spots, Faith and Flower. The decor alone is worth the visit and the food speaks for itself. From creamy burrata and prosciutto appetizers, to red beet risotto, every dish is fresh, mouth watering, and unforgettable. Also, must try the English Milk Punch and...

How To: No-Bake Halloween Ghost Cake Pops

How To: DIY No-Bake Halloween Ghost Cake Pops
Halloween is quickly approaching and I wanted to share a super simple and quick recipe to get into the spirit! These No-Bake Cake Pops are one of my go-to desert recipes because they are fast, simple and don’t require a lot of ingredients. I like using Oreo cookies and cookie-dough for the batter, but you can pretty much crush anything of your choice into your mix! Follow these quick steps to make the recipe: Ingredients:  8 oz block cream cheese softened 1 package Oreo cookies 1 package Cookie Dough 2 one pound blocks white almond bark or white chocolate chips Black sprinkles for eyes Sucker sticks or paper straws Instructions: Start by combining the softened cream cheese with one package of Oreo cookies and cookie-dough in your food processor....

10 Best Brunch Spots in Los Angeles

1. Blue Jam Café If you’re in the mood for a hearty, filling and decadent brunch, then Blue Jam Café is the spot for you. Some of you may know Blue Jam Café for their infamous eggs benedict and crunchy French toast. This has been my go-to brunch combination to cure any hangovers from too much partying the night before. The signature crunchy French toast is truly something to lust over, with perfectly fluffy egg brioche rolled in crunch corn flakes with berries and best of all, the vanilla bean sauce (I always get an extra side). Locations: 15045 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 7371 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046 23311 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 2. Claudine’s Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop (Encino) Claudine’s...

Where to eat in NYC | Perrine

The Rotunda at The Pierre NYC
PerrineNYC.com Perrine on Yelp While at fashion week I took a break from all the madness for dinner at one of New York's classics, Perrine. It's a beautiful restaurant tucked inside of The Pierre Hotel bordering Central Park. The hotel and restaurant have a lot of history, dating all the way back to the 30s. Upon entrance, you're welcomed into The Rotunda, a grand foyer, painted from floor to ceiling in murals of actors and actresses that used to frequent the restaurant. Many weddings are held in this room and easy to understand why. The Rotunda makes you feel like you're somewhere in Italy! In the main restaurant room, the vibe is very 40s meets modern chic, rich lacquered wood, striped booths...

Café Pinot | #JMeats

Hamachi Crudo at Cafe Pinot
Café Pinot Website Café Pinot on Yelp There are so many incredible restaurants in Los Angeles, it can be hard to stand out from the rest. Cafe Pinot, a California French Restaurant in Downtown LA, is in a league of it's own. Last week, I was spoiled to a 15 course meal (did you see on snap?!) of everything from Green Gazpacho (so nice during this heat wave), to Charred Octopus, Crispy Farro, and Duck Confit! Both classic and modern, this meal was a dream! While the food speaks for itself, other perks of the restaurant include it's beautiful location, just across from the LA Public Library, with a gorgeous outdoor dining patio, increibly personable service, and cocktails that paired with each course...

Morimoto Waikiki #JMeats

Morimoto Waikiki Honolulu
MorimotoWaikiki.com The Modern Honolulu On my last night on Oahu, I had dinner at Morimoto, a beautifully designed, Japanese and American fusion restaurant by critically acclaimed Chef Morimoto. From the moment I walked in, the experience was stunning. We were seated out on the the terrace, overlooking the harbor, and were treated to a 5 course meal, each more innovative than the last.  At Morimoto, presentation is everything. First course: Hamachi (on the left which is yellowtail) and Toro (on the right, a medium fatty tuna) Tartare. They were accompanied by 6 different garnishes in the center, some creamy and smooth, come crunchy, and some spicy, to further enhance the flavors of the fish. The fruit is Yamamomo which helps clear the palate...
