Laura Mercier Face Illumination Powder
I just got the Laura Mercier shimmering powders a few weeks ago and have been using them non-stop ever since! When using powder highlighters, it’s so important to find one that melts into your skin instead of resting on the surface and giving you that streaky look. And these do just that!! The formula is gorgeous- lightweight, smooth and iridescent, instead of glittery. The bonus is that their highly customizable depending on your technique, I love using the fan brush because you can control the amount of product you sweep onto the skin and really hit the high points of your face easily. These are the best highlighters for summer because the texture is very lightweight and smooth, so it doesn’t feel heavy on your skin at all. And most importantly, this formula doesn’t emphasize my pores (deal closed!!) Of course, I still always wear my Shiseido smart filtering smoother underneath to create a flawless canvas for my make-up! The two colors I’ve been rotating are Indiscretion which is a light-medium, gold shimmer with warm undertones (perfect for when I’m more tan). And when I want a highlighter that pops more, I use Devotion which is a rosy pink with warmer undertones.
Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter
A long time favorite of mine has always been the Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter. What I love most about this highlighter is how buttery it feels!! Since my skin is on the oily side, I’ve always preferred using powders over cream products. This powder is so finely pressed and goes onto the skin so creamy and smooth for a powder product. I use the opal shade, but each individual shade actually has multi-toned pigment pearls that adjust to your skin’s natural undertones so you look even more luminous..doesn’t get better than that right?! I usually apply this highlighter with my fingertips or the back of my beauty blender for the most flawless finish.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops
Whenever I want to really emphasize that GLOW, I start by layering a drop or two of these Custom Enhancer Drops by Cover FX on the areas of my face that I want to highlight the most. They add that perfect glow-from-within look to your skin and can basically act as a primer for a powder highlight. You can also add a couple drops to your liquid foundation or moisturizer for an all-over glow which is perfect for achieving that sunkissed look! A little goes a long way with this guy..so make sure you only use a couple drops.
Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Crème Lip Gloss
Ever since Pat McGrath came out with her glitter lips, I’ve been trying to find an everyday metallic gloss that gives my lips a nice shimmer effect without being too overwhelming. Bite Beauty has always been my go-to brand for lipsticks, so when they released their collection of metallic lip glosses that was inspired by mermaids..I knew they were going to be something special! Each color is soo unique, pigmented and iridescent. It’s hard to nail a metallic gloss formula because they tend to be really sticky and slide off the lips, but this formula is amazing and did I mention it smells like creamsicles?! I like to wear these over top my lipstick to add a chrome finish because it really adds that pretty metallic pop underneath another color! My favorite shade for summer is the Pink Pearl, a pinky tone with gold and hints of peach.
Becca Cosmetics Lush Lip Color Balm
These color balms by Becca Cosmetics is everything I love about a lip balm and lipstick combined in one product! Super creamy, moisturizing, and adds a nice sheer color to your lips. In the summertime, my lips tend to get really dry because of the sun and humidity and I’m constantly having to use lip balm!! I love having color on my lips, but tinted lip balms just don’t do it for me. So this product has really been a gamechanger!! With a few swipes you can build the intensity of the color on your lips or get a soft sheer finish with just one swipe. The bonus is that this lipstick is infused with jojoba oil to keep your lips hydrated at all times, no chapped lips here!! My favorite shades for summer are Almond Fraise, a dusty rose and Cafe Au Lait, a pretty peach beige.
Hope you loves had a nice weekend :) Now that my closet/vanity is finally finished (final reveal coming next week!!) I’ll be filming a bunch of new beauty tutorials. What do you guys wanna see next on my Youtube channel?! Leave me some ideas in the comments below :)
