On days when I don’t have enough time to think about what to wear but still need to look put together, I always go Back to BLACK. Black IS the new Black…consistently classy, can be accessorized to edgy, and plays well with any crowd. Throw in mixed metals and a staple leopard print, and your look is instantly rockerchic! I love layering gold and silver pieces to bring an all black ensemble to life. I have certain, delicate pieces that I never take off like my Elsa Peretti for Tiffany’s necklace, earrings and bracelet from my hubby, and an infinity bracelet from my best friend. The gold chain link bracelet I’m wearing here was my mother-in-laws and I love how vintage and tough it looks. My brushed gold, spike studs are by Rachel Roy, my silver and gold spike necklace is from BCBG and the long, gold, double bar necklace is by Yochi. Business in the front, PARTY in the back! I love leopard print…for years I refused to wear it because I felt it was really overdone, but now in more muted tones and sheer fabrics, it has kind of become one of those wardrobe staples like stripes. This morning my hair was literally out of control! I have very wavy, beach hair naturally and some days I wake up and its completely unmanageable. A low, messy bun is my go-to-do! Just part on the side, pull your hair into a low ponytail, twist your hair into a rope, wrap it around itself, and pin as you go! Little pieces will fall out here and there but just leave them-it makes the hairstyle look even more effortless.
Hope everyone had an AWESOME Cinco de Mayo holiday!! (and hope your Monday recovery isn’t too rough!)
