1. MAC Mineralize Blush VS Milani Baked Blush
[show_ms_widget id=”35955211″ image_id=”41805812″ width=”1500″ height=”979″]
Happy Monday my loves!! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! I’m really excited to finally share some of my favorite drugstore dupes on the blog!! I’ve been a fan of drugstore make-up for a long time..YSL, Chanel, Dior, you name it. But I’ve always loved playing around with drugstore make-up and finding similar products to some of those overpriced foundations and blushes we all love. I’ve rounded up my top 8 drugstore dupes and I’m taking you through them one by one..with shoplinks! Hope you guys enjoy the post and would love to hear what drugstore dupes you use.
Milani Cosmetics carries some of my absolute favorite drugstore blushes. I’m constantly re-purchasing Dolce Pink and Luminoso Baked Blushes. Milani’s Dolce Pink is such a pretty pink with gold shimmer and Luminoso is a beautiful peachy tone with a bit of luminosity. Something about combining these two blushes gives your skin the most perfect flushed cheeks with a luminous glow. Before I discovered Milani’s Baked Blushes, the only blush I ever used is NARS blush in Orgasm, which just happens to be one of the most universally flattering shades ever! The biggest difference I see in the Nars blush is the texture, it’s more creamy and vibrant on the skin. Whereas the Milani baked blushes formula is made to be “buildable from sheer to vibrant,” but the texture is more powdery than creamy. But overall, I think the color combination of Milani’s Luminoso and Dolce Pink creates a tone that is almost identical to Nars Orgasm. And for just $7.49, you can never go wrong with any of the Milani Baked Blushes!
2. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder VS E.L.F High Definition Powder
[show_ms_widget id=”35955216″ image_id=”41805819″ width=”1500″ height=”979″]
Elf’s Studio High Definition Powder is a make-up artist’s best well kept secret. But if you’re beauty obsessed like me, you know Laura Mercier’s Translucent Setting Powder is one of the most used products among beauty guru’s and make-up artists. Of course we all love Laura Mercier’s Setting powder, but sometimes a girl’s gotta save before she can splurge on a $38 jar of translucent powder. I’ve never had any luck finding a good translucent setting powder that is comparable to Laura Mercier’s, but recently I was recommended to try the ELF High Definition Powder and it immediately became one of my favorite drugstore dupes!! It’s hard to believe this product is ONLY $6 ..it truly glides on like silk and leaves your skin feeling smooth, even and flawless. Best of all, it works very well with all skin tones and a little goes a long way unlike other drugstore setting powders.
3. MAC Eyeshadow VS ColourPop Cosmetics Eyeshadow
[show_ms_widget id=”35955219″ image_id=”41805832″ width=”1500″ height=”863″]
For just $5 per eyeshadow, ColourPop Cosmetics shows everyone that quality can still come in affordable prices. ColourPop’s Super Shock Shadows offer an amazing color payoff and are SO pigmented. I have experimented with a lot of colors overtime and find that the shadows are always creamy, consistent and blend easily on my eyelids. Mac’s eyeshadows run at $16 per pan and if you like using different colors and experimenting, then $16 adds up quick. The only difference between both formula’s is that Mac offers better quality matte shadows. Out of all the ColourPop shadows, the mattes are not as pigmented as the shimmers and they are harder to apply smoothly. But overall, they last a good 9 hours when I tested them without any eyelid primers..and for $5, come on!
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz VS NYX Micro Brow Pencil
[show_ms_widget id=”35955223″ image_id=”41805836″ width=”1500″ height=”979″]
The NYX Eyebrow Pencil is one of my favorite dupes for the iconic Anastasia Brow Wiz. I replenish my eyebrow pencils quite frequently; so spending almost $25 on an eyebrow pencil is not ideal for me. But with the NYX Micro Brow Pencil, you get really full, natural looking eyebrows that have staying power. And what’s most shocking is that for half the price, the end results look identical to the Anastasia Brow Wiz. The only thing I miss about the Anastasia Brow Wiz is the spoolie!! The brush on this pencil was SO nice and made all the difference when I brushed the product through my brows. The NYX brush is tougher and doesn’t really distribute the product through your brows..so that’s why I kept my Anastasia pencil and use the brush for a final sweep of my brows after I’m done applying the NYX product!
5. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation VS L’Oreal True Match Lumi
[show_ms_widget id=”35955224″ image_id=”41805840″ width=”1500″ height=”979″]
Any beauty insider knows the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is highly coveted for it’s incredible formula that essentially transforms your skin into a flawless canvas. Unfortunately, this high-performing foundation comes with a steep price tag of $62. However, L’Oreal True Match Lumi is one of my best well kept secrets when it comes to drugstore foundations. Although the regular version of the L’Oreal True Match is more sought over, the Lumi is a pretty close copy of the Armani Silk Foundation. The finish for both foundations is very similar; both are silky, lightweight and easy to apply. L’Oreal’s True Match Lumi also gives your skin that dewy glow from within, but for less than half the price of the Armani Foundation (major key). After using the L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foudation for some time, I noticed it actually left my face more hydrated than my previous high-end foundations. It gives your skin a beautiful luminosity for a drugstore foundation.
6. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer VS NYX Studio Perfect Primer
[show_ms_widget id=”35955231″ image_id=”41805851″ width=”1500″ height=”895″]
Smashbox’s Iconic Photo Finish Foudation Primer has long been a cult classic with its incredible ability to blur pores, imperfections and create the perfect canvas for your make-up. So for those of you who are long-time lovers of the Smashbox primers, it may be hard to justify the price tag. But after testing a lot of different drugstore primers, I’m confident to say I’ve finally found the perfect dupe..NYX Studio Perfect Primer! If you compare both the formulas side by side, you will see that they are almost identical. Not only are the formula’s similar, but the ingredient list on both primers is almost identical. After testing the NYX primer on a long day, I found that it kept my makeup in place from morning till night and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Most importantly, it absorbs quickly and creates that nice smooth surface we all look for in a primer. So for just $13 per tube, I’d gladly allow NYX to prep my face any day!
7. Nars Creamy Concealer VS Maybelline FIT Me Concealer
[show_ms_widget id=”35955227″ image_id=”41805848″ width=”1500″ height=”979″]
Nars Creamy Concealer is still one of the most popular concealers of all-time. This concealer will always be on the top of the list for me and I always recommend it to anyone, but if the price isn’t in the cards for you, then try Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer. This is basically an affordable version of Nars creamy concealer, the formula is so similar…creamy, lightweight and hides imperfections. The real difference here is the pigmentation. Both concealers cover imperfections, but the Maybelline FIT me formula is more sheer and lightweight than the Nars formula. I’ve noticed with using the FIT me concealer, you have to apply a bit more to get fuller coverage, especially if you want to cover any blue or purple areas.
8. Kat Von Dee Tattoo Liner VS L’Oreal Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Liner
[show_ms_widget id=”35955267″ image_id=”41805915″ width=”1500″ height=”895″]
For me, eyeliner is one of the make-up items I replenish most which is I’m so picky about finding the perfect liquid liner. And course, I’d much rather spend $9 on an eyeliner rather than spending $20 every couple months. When the Kat Von Dee Tattoo Liner first came out, I admit it quickly became my favorite liner because I felt like it drew my wing for me. Unfortunately, spending $20 on a skinny pen was getting old! That’s when I tried L’Oreal Infallible Eyeliner and it truly became one of my all-time favorite drugstore products! Ever since I started using the L’Oreal Infallible Liner, I’ve become much better at drawing a steady line and wing. I prefer the point pen on this product because it is really fine and less spongy than other liquid liners. It always glides onto my eyelid very easily and most importantly; the pigmentation lasts all day without smudging. The only difference I’ve noticed in this liquid liner is that it takes a minute or two longer to completely dry, but for $9 ..who’s counting?
What are some of your favorite drugstore dupes? Xoxo

This is such a great post, girl! I’ve always loved Milani’s baked blushes, they are gorgeous! I feel they double as both a blush and highlight, giving a nice beautiful glow. I need to check out that ELF translucent powder because I’ve heard so much about the Laura Mercier one, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to splurge right now, haha. I love that you did these dupes. I really want to try the setting powder by Elf. I’ll have to pick that up soon from Target or a drug store and try it out! Finding a good blush is hard. I heard of the Milani ones but haven’t picked up any yet. I like the sound of that combo though.
My favourite so far is the LA Pro Girl concealers. They’re so inexpensive, have a huge color range and are great for adding a little bit of contour or coverage when you look extra tired. They’re only $3, and I think they sell them at Sephora.
Thanks for sharing Jessi!
