I’m starting off the week with an informative beauty post, something that I’ve been really immersed in lately and couldn’t wait to share with all of you.

This past year as I started getting more into the beauty industry, I also learned the dangers of chemicals in cosmetics and have had to rethink a lot of the products I was using on a daily basis. In recent months, so many amazing, high-quality natural beauty brands have emerged and brought safer, healthier products into the market. I’m sure many of you have noticed all the ‘paraben free’ labels that have been making their way into more beauty products and skincare this past year. But the sad truth is, parabens are still found in most personal care and beauty products such as shampoos, body washes, foundations, lotions, mascara’s..the list goes on. Parabens are chemicals that are used to act as preservatives for your creams, shampoos, deodorants etc. Over the years, many studies have proved that parabens are harmful to your health and have even been linked to breast cancer.

Fun fact- “Our skin absorbs 70% of what we put onto it, meaning 70% of what we put on our skin ends up in our bloodstream.”

In light of this topic, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite paraben-free brands to add to your beauty regime! Even if you’re not looking to change your beauty routine at the moment, you can always start thinking about slowly adding more natural and chemical-free products into your routine.

“Great quality, great design and affordability so that all women can have the best in beauty.” This has been Sonia Kashuk’s matra ever since she started her brand, and one of the reasons why I have always admired this brand so much. Sonia Kashuk is one of the best cruelty-free drugstore brands out there and offers an amazing selection of natural makeup and high-quality brushes.

5. Josie Maran

Josie Maran is all about wearable and natural makeup, yet still feeling luxurious. I love that their makeup products contain key ingredients such as coconut oil and organic argan oil. My favorites are the illuminizer and coconut water color cheek gelee which both contain these natural oils and make your skin feel SO hydrated and silky!!

Juice beauty is everything you want in your makeup routine..formulated without parabens, silicones, gluten, and any chemicals that do harm to your skin.
