Slip Dresses have been my go-to transitional pieces for fall, whether its date night or brunch with the girls, there’s countless ways to make this look work! We all want to achieve that “less is more” look that we’ve seen on our favorite celebs like Rihanna and Gigi Hadid, so why not do this with a slip dress? Wearing lingerie-inspired pieces outside your house may seem weird to some, but with the right accessories you can pull off this off-duty vibe too! This 90’s trend has been one of the most talked-about trends this year, not to mention one of my personal favorites, so I’ve put together 3 looks that are all trending this season!

        1. Dressed Up Date Night

I love the sleek and sexy aesthetic of pairing your favorite slip dress with some heeled booties and a long trench. If you want to downplay the sexiness of your slip dress, throwing on a structured trench coat makes it more sophisticated and classy. I’m a big fan of monochromatic looks so I especially love this blush-toned slip dress paired with the MAJE Trench. Top off this look with minimalistic accessories and a nude lip and you’re good to go for a fun night out!

What I love most about wearing slip dresses is the versatility they offer! I can wear this slip dress during the day with white sneakers and then switch them out with a pair of sexy ankle-strap sandals and lightweight trench for a night out.

     2. Off-Duty Street Chic

If you’re going for that effortless cool-girl vibe, throw a satin bomber jacket over your slip dress with a pair of sneakers and your favorite cap. This is one of my favorite looks on days where I’m feeling sporty or casual and still want to look cute and fashion-forward. If you’re hesitant to wear your slip because it’s too sheer or has too much lace, throwing on an oversized bomber jacket and sunglasses is the perfect way to dress it down and cover some skin. Only have slips straight from your lingerie drawer? No problem! Adding an oversized bomber jacket and suede cap is the perfect way to achieve the effortless model-off duty look! If you’re going to a concert or club, I like to switch it up by putting on a black moto-jacket over the slip dress for that ultimate edgy, yet feminine vibe.

     3. Feminine and Cozy

Layering a silk dress under a cozy knit is one of my go-to looks for a lazy fall day. When pairing your slip dress with a knit or top, make sure it’s sleek and minimalistic. I find this the best way to ease yourself into wearing a slip dress if you are uncomfortable with wearing lingerie-inspired pieces out of the house. I feel that this is the best way to still achieve the look and feel sophisticated with a twist of sexiness!
