10 Best Brunch Spots in Los Angeles

1. Blue Jam Café

Blue Jam Café

If you’re in the mood for a hearty, filling and decadent brunch, then Blue Jam Café is the spot for you. Some of you may know Blue Jam Café for their infamous eggs benedict and crunchy French toast. This has been my go-to brunch combination to cure any hangovers from too much partying the night before. The signature crunchy French toast is truly something to lust over, with perfectly fluffy egg brioche rolled in crunch corn flakes with berries and best of all, the vanilla bean sauce (I always get an extra side).

Locations:
15045 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
7371 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046
23311 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364

2. Claudine’s Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop (Encino)

Blue Jam Café

Claudine’s is one of my favorite cozy brunch spots in the Valley. When you first walk into the space it feels modern and simplistic, yet cozy with wooden details. If you’re into restaurants that serve heirloom seasonal ingredients and housemade pastries, Claudine’s is the perfect spot for you. My favorite dishes on the menu include their Turkey Chorizo Breakfast Tacos and Malted Milk Pancakes, which are fluffed to perfection. I love that Claudine’s brunch menu features twists on classic favorites such as their lox dish, which is cured in house on toast with lemon cream cheese. Most of all, they have an amazing bakery that has fresh housemade pastries and coffee. There’s nothing wrong with grabbing a couple fresh baked goods and coffee on-to-go after a decadent brunch right?

Address: 16350 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436

3. LA Mill & Coffee Co (Silverlake)

Blue Jam Café

LA Mill & Coffee Co is not your typical coffee shop. If you’re into the whole boutique coffee experience, then this is definitely a spot that deserves your attention! Expect a very well prepared coffee with high quality espresso beans served by the most skilled baristas! Beyond the amazing coffee, this spot offers a tasty selection of brunch items such as chicken & waffles, salmon benedicts, and best of all warm brioche donuts with vanilla cream and raspberry- my personal favorite pastry!

Address: 1636 Silver Lake Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

4. Home (Los Feliz)

Blue Jam Café

Home Restaurant calls for some seriously good home-style comfort food. I love visiting Los Feliz on the weekends; the neighborhood is packed with cute outdoor patios, boutiques, and ice cream shops, which makes it perfect for a late-afternoon stroll. Beyond the cozy atmosphere, the food at Home is so tasty! The menu features four amazing benedicts, including smoked salmon, crab, huevos and traditional. Other menu items to try are the breakfast steak & eggs, California omelet, breakfast chilaquiles, and red velvet pancakes.

Address: 1760 Hillhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027

5. Aroma Café (Studio City)

Blue Jam Café

I adore the ambiance at Aroma Café in Studio City; it is known for being quaint, cozy and the perfect place for an outdoor brunch session with your girlfriends. The outdoor patio features a beautiful garden patio with colored tiles and Parisian styled chairs and tables. Their breakfast and brunch menu includes a large selection of egg dishes such as eggs benedict, made-to-order omelets, vegan dishes, an array of breakfast sandwiches, and sweet delicacies from the griddle. All of the ingredients at Aroma are locally sourced and always amazingly fresh.

Address: 4360 Tujunga Ave, Studio City, CA 91604

6. Eggslut (Downtown)

Blue Jam Café

If you’re in the mood for a casual daytime spot with the ultimate breakfast sandwich, then Eggslut is the go-to spot! This small breakfast spot is located in downtown’s Grand Central Market. The line here can get pretty crazy, but it’s definitely worth the wait to get your hands on one of those ill-famed indulgent breakfast sandwiches! And if you don’t live in the area, there will be a new location of Eggslut opening at the Americana in Glendale! The menu here is quite short with just a few breakfast items made with wholesome tasty and flavorsome ingredients. My personal recommendation- bacon, egg, cheese topped with smoked bacon, melted cheddar cheese on a homemade brioche bun, how amazing does that sound?!

Address: Grand Central Market, 317 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013
* New location coming soon to the Americana in Glendale

7. République (Hancock Park)

Blue Jam Café

République is housed in a courtyard from a historic building that was once owned by Charlie Chaplin. Not only is the food here incredible, but the location is every blogger’s dream with Moroccan-inspired tiles, a cozy courtyard, and Parisian-inspired touches. République is the perfect place to sit with your girlfriends over a long brunch and take in the gorgeous ambiance for as long as possible. Menu items include the signature Kimchi Fried Rice, Salmon Bruschetta, Brioche French Toast and Croquet Madame. République also offers a selection of artisan cheeses, fresh breads, caviars, and pastries making you feel like your spending a day in France.

Address: 624 South La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

8. Zinc Café (Downtown)

Blue Jam Café

A downtown LA favorite of mine has always been Zinc Café. In the heart of the trendy Arts District, Zinc embodies an industrial, yet casual type of atmosphere. With a spacious outdoor patio and casual tables, this spot carries good vibes with a comfortable ambiance. Their menu has a large selection of crafty lattes, fresh juices and green drinks. For brunch, you can choose from a variety of specialties such as French toast with orange butter (a personal favorite), quiche a la carte, made-to-order omelets, and fresh baked goods.

Address: 580 Mateo St, Los Angeles, CA 90013

9. Café Gratitude (Larchmont Village)

Blue Jam Café

When I’m in the mood for a healthy and light brunch, Café Gratitude is my go-to-spot for one best vegan eateries in the LA area. If you’re vegan or appreciate a good vegan dish every now and then, Café Gratitude is the real deal. The space is modern, hip and certainly Instagram worthy with its colorful tiles and aesthetically pleasing dishes. The menu features high-quality, wholesome ingredients packed with tons of flavor and all kinds of garnishes and sauces I would never think of consuming. One of my personal favorites is the “Yo Soy Feliz” tostada, which includes a cashew queso fresco with a black bean puree- seriously amazing flavor! And I never miss it out on my favorite Matcha latte with agave and almond milk. If you guys are into trying out new health drinks, Café Gratitude also has a long list of smoothies, pressed juices, tonics, house-made spritzers and wellness elixirs.

Locations:
639 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004
300 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013

10. Ace Hotel Rooftop (Downtown)

Blue Jam Café

One of my favorite rooftop spots with an incredible view of Downtown LA is the Ace Hotel. If you’re ever in the mood to get some sun with your girlfriends while feasting on some avocado toast and mimosa’s then this place is ideal. Located in the heart of Downtown, the Ace hotel also has a restaurant on the main floor called the “L.A. Chapter” which is hip and trendy with its black-and-white tiled floors and mirrored walls.

Address: 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Yumm, these look delicious and they make me wish I could hop on a plane just to brunch there. Sadly, that would be a bit too long of a flight just for brunch. ahaha
